We are getting ready for a fantastic summer, both at LARDO and COPPA.

Our team is expanding, and we are looking to employ some great new people into our team on both sites, both in the kitchen and on the floor.

The following roles are available:

Shift Manager: LARDO £hourly rate + tronc based on experience

The overall aim of the role is to ensure great food and drink delivered with friendly efficient service.

You will be in charge of shifts, and therefore will lead the team  from the front. We believe in leading by example – so this is a hands-on role, with lots of contact with customers. A good interest in our offering is important- a solid understanding of wine and food is critical, and a easy, can-do attitude is key. We offer a great working environment with good pay with a dedicated and passionate team.

The overall aim of the role is to ensure great food and drink delivered with friendly efficient service.

You will be the second in charge at COPPA, ensuring customer satisfaction and a tightly run ship. We believe in leading by example – so this is a hands-on role, with lots of contact with customers. COPPA runs through from May to September over the weekends, so a full commitment for the duration of the summer is a pre-requisite for the job. We need someone that is up for the challenge of working in a busy outdoor space which offers a great alternative to a normal restaurant or bar environment. We offer a great working conditions with good pay with a dedicated and passionate team.

Head Chef: COPPA £28-30k pro rata, based on experience

The overall aim of the role is to ensure a smooth delivery of great food.

COPPA will offer a short, but delicious Southern Italian “Rosticceria” inspired menu, including a range of bar snacks, antipasti and some roast meats. You will be working under our executive chef, Damian Currie, who will design the menu. Although you will have some assistance in the administrational tasks, you will be ultimately in charge of running the kitchen. The role requires ensuring you have enough food for the shift, maintaining high levels of food standards and hygiene, you will place all orders and manage spending (keeping within margins). COPPA runs through from May to September over the weekends, so a full commitment for the duration of the summer is a pre-requisite for the job. We offer a great working environment with good pay with a dedicated and passionate team.

  1. Hi, my name is Luke and I’m a friend of Hugh’s. He mentioned to me last week about the Coppa gig. I haven’t replied to him yet (he’s on a walk in tassie) but would like to convey my interest, pending on visa application which I am going through now. Currently I run a restaurant in Melbourne cbd that specializes in salumi, pizza and artisan preservation. We offer a range of cicchetti as a grazing style menu. Some similarities to Lardo. We offer an extensive wine list which offer a vast range of Italian, local, and other interesting natural and obscure wines, which I also manage and train on.
